tarpon407
Hello ! I will be applying this upcoming cycle (2017-2018) and I have a couple questions about sending my transcripts to CASPA. I am currently taking a couple of prerequisites along with my regular coursework and will be graduating in late May. I am going to wait until spring grades are posted before I send my transcripts to CASPA seeing as that I am currently taking prerequisites. My question is, should I wait just the estimated 2 weeks for my university to post grades and send my transcripts to CASPA or should i wait an estimated 6-8 weeks in order for my "degree to be posted" on the transcript to show CASPA and the programs that I am applying to that I graduated with my Bachelors? I know that a degree is a requirement for every school that I am applying to but do they need to see this in my CASPA application? If not there, then when/where would they see that I have a degree? As I understand it, you can only send one batch of transcripts to CASPA, correct? Maybe some of you that have applied before can shed some light on what you did. Thank you in advance. Guest HanSolo
Contact a few of the programs you are applying to and see what they say. I could see this answer going either way.
pabound2016
I would wait until your degree retrieval has been updated in your transcript. Otherwise, you will have to send in your transcripts again just for them to see that update. Like you said, some schools require you to have a degree upon applying. They may not even review your application until that piece of information is updated. I would advise to wait it out in order to have as little miscommunication as possible.
