Sticks
I have been a practicing PA for going on 10 years with experience in Primary Care, EM, and UC. I currently am a Lead Advanced Practice Clinician for a national physician group. I would like to transition into an academic role in the near future and would appreciate any input on where to start. KMD16
Full time academic or part time? Have you consider taking on PA student for preceptorship or as an adjunct at a PA program? Consider doing the online DHSc. Be ready for significant pay cut for this transition. Good luck.
DizzyJ
I am in the same boat. Have ten years of practice in and have been a preceptor for most of it. I will be done with my DHSc next month and have already applied for teaching jobs. They are plentiful right now. You can check out the PAEA website for postings. I would also recommend looking into a doctorate. It is not required, but it is preferred.
