shs0524
I have a MD, and a science professor who are willing to write me the LOR, but I have not found a PA. The PA who said he will is not replying my messages an emails. I'm nervous if this will impact my application for upcoming cycle. If I don't have a PA writing a LOR for me, what am I suppose to do? Any suggestions?
SHU-CH
Is it a specific requirement for a program you are applying to? If it is not, then it is probably not that big of a deal. It helps demonstrate to a program that you know and PA and presumable have a decent knowledge of PA life. Some programs probably also use it as a test to see whether students can follow application instructions. Otherwise, it should not be a deal-breaker. M1ke10191
Most schools will take either an MD or PA. Regardless of what you get, make sure you can answer the question "Why do you want to be a PA?" It was asked in some way shape or form at every interview I went on. PA-C-to-be
Try calling. Some people aren't super diligent about emails or they're like me and they open the email, intend to reply but get caught up working on something else, and then forget they received it. Doesn't hurt to keep asking, I had to stay on top of several references and keep reminding them until it was all done!
pabound2016
Worst case scenario, you still have some time to find, shadow, and hopefully attain another PA to write you a reference letter.
aggie899
My advice to you is to look at the school requirements and see who they want for LOR. Some schools don't care while others want a LOR from a PA. If I was on the admission committee for PA school, I would personally want to see a LOR from a PA.
