Could someone make my day and tell me that the processing time takes less than the stated 4-6 weeks? Wondering how long on average it actually takes. Thanks! Applied for DEA 1/3 and after getting told by a fellow classmate called them yesterday to check on status--lady verified my stuff over the phone (you need the DEA control number on your receipt that's in the upper left corner of the first page, license number, NPI, ssn) and told me it had been processed 1/13. Should be receiving certificate either today or early next week. She gave me the number over the phone and told me how to print a duplicate certificate online. QCEMPA Posted January 20, 2017 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Also applied at end of December and have received an email from the local DEA office stating my application has been processed and to expect it in 5-7 business days.
