Interview Q's regarding healthcare reform etc.

For those of you who have interviewed or have some insight into topics addressed, what kinds of questions have you encountered in regards to healthcare reform, medicare/Medicaid, affordable care act, social security etc.? Any advice on how to respond to these types of questions?

I got one about how healthcare reform would impact PAs and I discussed managed care. He told me it was a great answer.

Do some research and have an opinion on the topic.  Understand WHAT they are (medicare v medicaid, ACA, etc) and how it affects not only providers but patients.  

 

Everything is fair game at interviews and honestly if you plan to work in healthcare in any capacity, you should have some basic thoughts about these things.

I've been to 4 interviews and didn't get asked about healthcare reform, policy, insurance, or anything like that. However, I think it would be best to prepare for those questions just in case they are asked.

 

I looked up info about the ACA, HMO vs. PPO, Medicare, etc.
