lwwebb
Sometime in the next year I will have an elective month in residency. I am very interested in doing an international rotation but only one PA resident in our program has done this so I don't have a lot of great ideas yet. I'm just reaching out to see if anyone has contacts or has had a good experience with a particular international organization. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Administrator rev ronin Posted November 23, 2016 Administrator Share Posted November 23, 2016 What are your post-residency goals? "International" involves a pretty big amount of, well, everywhere.
lwwebb
I love Regions enough that I will more than likely stay there as full-time staff after completion of my EM residency. I am open to going just about anywhere for my elective; all I am seeking is a new experience.
eliotsbay44
I recognize this may be a bit late for you but, I did this for my month elective: https://medical-electives.net/ It was approved through my program and I was the first to go. I would highly recommend it to the right individual. To sum up amazing language immersion and classes. Great program with an excellent underlying humanitarian goal. Good intro to concepts of medicine outside of US and impoverished areas. I learned a decent amount of medicine in addition but certainly not the same as the average US formal clinical rotation.
