PAtoB
why 1.5 hour breaks? what's the catch? S-ton of charting to do?
Moderator ventana Posted November 23, 2016 Moderator Share Posted November 23, 2016 1:3 weekends no thank you you could work in an urgent care for $65+/hour for two 12 hour shifts and get a great paycheck also unless you can leave the building/grounds - time off/breaks should be paid - this is called charting time to many hours in my mind... For catching up on charting and actually having a lunch break. 1:3 weekends no thank you you could work in an urgent care for $65+/hour for two 12 hour shifts and get a great paycheck also unless you can leave the building/grounds - time off/breaks should be paid - this is called charting time to many hours in my mind... I agree. Just wanted someone with experience to confirm my initial thoughts on the schedule. Appreciate your response.
Moderator ventana Posted November 25, 2016 Moderator Share Posted November 25, 2016 If they are saying that you chart during your breaks then you should be paid for it. period... A doc would cost them $200k+ for this schedule....
Moderator EMEDPA Posted November 25, 2016 Moderator Share Posted November 25, 2016 agree with Ventana. charting is work and should be paid. I bill for every min I chart if I stay late and don't do ANY charting from home, that is called working for free.
