mgriffiths Posted November 17, 2016 Share Posted November 17, 2016 From what I have read, Atlanta, GA is a pretty saturated area so the salary is likely to be lower - but $79k is pretty low. $85k is obviously better, but still not great. If the benefits are above average then I would count it as an option - but you need to make sure the docs know that you have no hands on experience. One option may be to ask for a larger sign on bonus or some loan repayment over the course of a few years. AbeTheBabe Posted November 18, 2016 Share Posted November 18, 2016 My base salary for a new grad in ortho was 95K. Granted this is in Los Angeles with a MUCH higher COL. I also get a bonus of 10% of my collections, however. This should work out to another 15-20K a year once I'm settled in.
