raddaa424 Posted October 25, 2016 Share Posted October 25, 2016 Hello everyone! Was just wondering if I could get some advice on getting into dermatology. During PA school I had a rotation in dermatology that I really loved. When I graduated a year ago I was unable to find any jobs in the field. I went on a few interviews but I did not get the jobs because I was a new grad and had barely any experience. Since I had to pay back loans I settled on a job in internal medicine. Now that I obtained some work experience I've been sending out my resume to every single derm job post on Indeed, Monster, Doccafe, etc, but I'm not having any luck at all. I know its a competitive market to get into but I'm just getting so frustrated. I keep asking everyone I know if they know any derm docs who need a PA but have not had any luck! Has anyone here been through this? Do you guys have any other ideas or strategies on getting into the field? Please let me know and thank you!! savannarae5169 Posted October 31, 2016 Share Posted October 31, 2016 If you're a member of the SDPA they have a job board that's updated pretty regularly.
