kenab1
I'm hoping I can get some answers from current or former students here. I noticed that the program admits 30 students each year, but in the last 5 years, only 22-23 students are taking the PANCE. Is the attrition rate really that high? Is the program losing 7-8 students per cohort? And if so, is it due to academic reasons? Do the faculty provide enough support and try hard to help the students succeed? These are questions I plan in asking at my interview next week, but I thought I'd ask here too. Thanks for any answers!
han7
Hi Kenab1 I have not been on this website in a couple years, but I was in the 2014 graduating class. We actually started out with 25 students (not 30). Two students “dropped out” during the first semester due to medical or family issues and restarted with the 2015 class (but unfortunately they did not finish with that class either). The third student to drop out was during the 2nd semester. It is a hard program and they let you know that day 1. The professors work hard at making sure we all reach our full potential, but unfortunately not every student makes it through the program. Best of luck to you in PA school and all your future success!
