Joelseff Posted September 19, 2016 Share Posted September 19, 2016 California PAs can now sign EDD forms. The bill was approved in 2014 but Brown gave the EDD until Jan 2017 to implement it. Looks like they revised it in 2015. I have done always ask my SP or specialists involved in care to fill these out for me but today I got a form request from a pt and it listed us a s "A Health Care Provider" though they added the dreaded "s". Oh well still a big victory for Cali PAs. Edit:Oops I think this is FMLA only. I tried registering with the EDD and PA was not listed ???? Please forgive my enthusiasm... Ok see below!
