Have not seen a thread for this years cycle so figured I would start one. Have not submitted my secondary yet as they will not look at it until March, so who is all applying?

I just submitted my application today... CASPA verified my application earlier this month; so now it's a waiting game!  Not something I am very good at!

I applied last year, they don't send out invites until roughly June, there are 3 "waves" of invites and 3 days of interviews I believe. All interviews were in the middle of July, and everyone found out their decisions end of July that interviewed. And even still some could have gotten changed in August. I am reapplying this year. Hope that helps!

Did they give you any feedback on how to enhance your app for this cycle?

I had 4 B's in my prereqs which held me less competitive, so I had to redo two classes to make those A's. Also added in more volunteering and shadowing (but those were just a couldn't hurt to get more thought). They are really nice to ask questions from, so I wouldn't hesitate to ask if you have any!

Hello All,

I'm putting the finishing touches on my application and was wondering if anyone knows if we are supposed to upload our DD214? I haven't come across anything saying to do so but thought it may be a good idea since I mention in in my PS.

I was not, they said I was extremely close but I needed to retake a couple pre-reqs so they would be A's. I was told most of the seats they offered were a majority of 2 B's or less in that section. But it is really important to realize they look at everything as a whole, so I am volunteering more as well as retaking the classes, and doing more shadow hours to improve my application strength as a whole.

I was wondering if anyone knew who would be the best point of contact in the admissions department...several different emails are listed on the website. I have a few questions about some classes I took in grad school counting for the pre-reqs and I emailed the generic pa program email (paprogram@evms.edu) but its been a week and I haven't heard back yet.

@ncml20

I totally recommend you email Michelle Kubricky - KubricMA@EVMS.EDU

She was incredibly helpful and really took an interest in your successful completion of applying. I was able to meet her in person as well, and was even more impressed. The entire admissions staff are top notch and is a huge reason why I applied.

I will be submitting my application soon. I interviewed last year and fell in love with Virginia and EVMS. I contact the program on how to better my application. Hopefully this year will be the year!

What where your stats last year if you don't mind me asking? I just want to get a gauge  if I should apply or not.
