Hi Everyone,

My application was submitted September 7th, and I have only received the confirmation email. I am really worried because I have unfortunately already received two rejections from other programs. I am just terrified of my science GPA. I got a C in one class and retook the class but it was still calculated in my GPA with CASPA. Without that C my science GPA would have been 3.44 which is not great but its better. My stats are as follows:

GPA: 3.59

Science GPA: 3.35 (I know this is low)

Verbal GRE: 157

Quantitative GRE: 160

Writing GRE: 4.5

Hours of Patient Care Experience:1700

Hours of Shadowing: 100

Is it completely hopeless to wait for an email about an interview? Especially with such a low science GPA. I also feel like I submitted 3 weeks ago, and if I was going to get an interview invite I feel as though I would have gotten it already :( This is my first time applying and I am afraid I will not get into any of the schools I applied for.

I wouldn't worry about your stats as they look fine. We don't interview until November and you have a lot of time yet.

If you are worried about not hearing from Ambrose then It is likely because we have been busy the last couple of weeks with the ARC-PA accreditation committee. They just left today.

The wait sucks but hang in there.

Hi everyone,

I submitted my application on September 7th but St. Ambrose did not receive my supplemental app until October 17th because I took a long time to think about what I was going to write. I am nervous because I see they have started sending interview invites, and I haven't heard anything yet. Was anyone else later with getting all the materials submitted. I am not sure if the delay means that they are not going to offer me an interview or if they just have not had time to process all of my materials yet?

I wouldn't worry about the date you got your supplemental application in. I submitted my application October 7th and got the confirmation from Angie that they got my supplemental app October 31st. I think they just started giving out interviews and the one on November 18th is the first round of them. If I can submit the last possible day and still get an interview you should be okay!

Greetings! I'm a current PA student at Ambrose and noticed there isn't a forum for this application cycle! If you have questions about the program or anything, hit me up!

Good luck to all of you!

Anyone have any idea about the interview process? So I can know what I am going into. Thanks in advance!!

I also interviewed 11/18 and the interview process was very relaxed! They get the interviews out of the way at the beginning and you have breaks between each interview which give you some time to calm the nerves. All of the staff was very friendly and engaging. I just got an acceptance email yesterday, I was surprised it happened so quickly! Still have a couple more interviews but I'm really excited!

I interviewed on 11/18 in the afternoon session. I had 5, 10 minute interviews with 10 minute breaks between each.  I would recommend bringing notes to look over in between interviews as the breaks can seem a little long! The staff was very friendly and it was probably the most relaxed PA school interview I've had. I received an acceptance email on 11/21, I was surprised to hear that quickly!

I have an interview on the 5th of December (this Monday). Thanks for the insight about the interview process. I am looking forward to the opportunity. I am hoping to hear just as quickly as you did. I've been accepted elsewhere and the required deadline for a deposit is that Thursday.

For those that have already interviewed - could you tell me if the interviews were open or closed? Meaning, did they have your application on hand? Open being they did, closed they did not. I know it is becoming more common to do a blind interview to eliminate bias before the interview begins.

I interview this upcoming Monday, December 5th! I'm very excited for this opportunity.
