There may be a local airport I'm unaware of, but the closest major one is Dulles (IAD). That puts you ~50 miles from the school, about an hour's drive (depending on traffic). Its definitely the closest, plus you'll be heading away from the city instead of towards it so I can't imagine traffic will be too terrible. I second this, especially if you fly in before or after the rush hour. Any of the other major hubs (Reagan, BWI) are farther out. The woman I spoke to about my interview said they would send additional information at some point. She told me the follow-up information comes via snail mail; I received it last week-ish. Not yet (typing with crossed fingers!) but one of the current students told me on Friday that everyone in his interview group had an answer no later than Tuesday.
