krob0
I am looking to do my elective rotations starting next summer in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky. Does anyone have any advice or know of any contacts for how to start working on setting up these rotations? I am currently pretty open to any speciality. I just want to start with getting some tips on how to find a preceptor in this area! Thanks for any advice!
Poetsiren
I'm in central KY. It's a struggle to find rotation sites if you don't belong to UK's PA program. My program was in TN. I got a few rotations in KY from networking. And I got my longest FM rotation in KY by just going office to office in my white coat and asking if they would precept me for my rotation while handing them a copy of the rotation timetables along with my CV. Keep in mind that affiliation agreements must be processed with your schools. Some places fall through at that stage, and it may be your responsibility to keep that office on the ball. stargirl
I don't know if you've graduated yet or not, so I'll answer anyway. The University of Cincinnati has a medical school and an NP program, so they probably don't have a lot of preceptors for you. Try Mercy Health or TriHealth.
