Does anyone know how long the "status" under the mystar portal stays as INCOMPLETE? My supplemental was received by UTMB on 06/23.

It took about week for me after they received everything, including the supp app. With the holiday I'm sure it will change this week.

My CASPA was submitted a few weeks ago, as was my supplemental, but I never got any log in information for the mystar portal. I did receive an email that both were received by the admissions office. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I contact them?

I got my supplemental on June 27th and submitted it that day. I emailed enrollment services just to get a timeframe and they said that because of the 4th of July weekend, they are a little behind. I was told to anticipate up to 10 business days. I am probably going to wait another week and see if anything changes, and if not I may send another email.

The lost paperwork and delays are common here. I dealt with it when I applied and they even lost my paperwork and I had to resubmit some. Just stay on them! I think they get overwhelmed since we have so much staff turnover. Patience is the key. Don't expect it to be better once you get in though. It often feels like we are left to figure out everything on our own. We often rely on other classmates to pass down information because the staff is bad at that. Feel free to ask me any questions!

I received the complete status on mySTAR portal probably beginning to mid-July, but I have not received an email that said, "Your application is now in the Physician Assistant Studies Department for review." Should I have received an email stating my application is under review?

I imagine they get sent as they are being reviewed. Both people who stated getting that email applied in early may. I'd suggest to hang tight for now.

To give you a detailed time frame:

I was verified in mid May, got all the myStar stuff taken care of the first week of June, got a "supplemental received" e-mail in mid June, and got that "under review" e-mail July 5th. So, just hang in there.

Pretty much the same timeline as me, too. I wouldn't worry about it, but shooting an email probably wouldn't hurt either if you are type A like myself, haha.

So i received the myStar stuff a while ago, and there was nothing in the "to-do" section of it, but reading these comments it sounds like we were supposed to do something on mystar? Were we supposed to fill out a survey or something?

From what I remember (this was almost a couple months ago for me), once you have your MyStar, you're done. That means they've received your supplemental application. As long as made sure they have your GRE through CASPA and it's all verified, you should be done to just wait.

Just got an e-mail inviting me to interview. This is the best day.

I will be interviewing August 29 as well!! I was looking on UTMB's website and it mentioned something about writing an essay the day of the interview. Do you know anything about the essay, such as what the topic may be or if they still have interviewees write the essay?

It'll probably be an ethical healthcare question/scenario we have to address.

Congrats to everyone getting interview invites!! I am applying next cycle for the first time, and would much appreciate if you guys can "chance" me on getting an interview with these stats? It's hard to ask the general forum because all schools are different.

Biology major, Texas resident

Age:21

GPA: 3.9

GRE: math 152, verbal 148

HCE: 800 hours as an EMS scribe

Volunteer:200 hours in undeserved clinic

Not much involvement in school clubs.

Thanks again& Goodluck on everyone's application this round!

Hi emily,

I don't think anyone can truthfully chance you but yourself. Each school looks for different things and that changes from year to year. Your grades look fine but your gre is below the "coveted" 150 150 range. LoR also play a big part in getting an interview. also, it depends on how early you apply.

The only thing you can do is apply and hope for the best.

Good luck!
