Hi! I recently inquired about the same question and this was the response I received from the program:

Thank you for your email and interest in the Physician Assistant program here at RFUMS.  While we appreciate you submitting your application early, CASPA has yet to be released to the programs to review applications.  This typically does not happen until June.  As soon as we receive your verified application you will be sent an email inviting you to submit your supplemental application fee.

We just have to be patient! :)

Got the email too. "The processing fee is required to complete and review your application"

Also in the email: RFUMS confirmed my app is in the initial verification steps.  I presume to check for all prerequisites courses, GPA, etc.  They'll give me a progress update "within 5 days".  Today is Day 1, I'll chime back in when I get another email.

I submitted the processing fee but received an email stating it was for the application to class of 2018 which is odd since I'm applying for class of 2019. I guess I'll have to wait and see if I get one saying my application is complete. How long did it take after you submitted your application to get an email saying your application was complete?

I just checked and I got an email stating I was complete 2 days after I submitted my processing fee. One of the emails I got also said class of 2018. I'm guessing it's just a typo and they forgot to change it from last year!

Hi, I received this email - am I supposed to wait for the confirmation email after the initial verification to send the $35, or do I need to send that right away?

Thank you for your interest in the Physician Assistant program at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS).  We have received your application submission and will conduct an initial verification for application requirements. You will receive an email from our office within 5 business days with an update regarding the status of your application.

To complete the application process, each applicant is required to submit the $35.00 application processing fee. The processing fee is required to complete and review your application. To submit your processing fee, please visit our secure online payment center. The non-refundable payment of $35.00 can be made using a major credit card or e-check option. Upon completion of the payment, you will receive a confirmation email for your records.

^ Yep, your application won't be considered complete until they receive your payment.

MilesHenson1, what time did you schedule your interview? I went to the website around noon today and haven't been able to move past the first page. It's still frozen and no one picked up the phone when I called, so I just left them a message regarding the issue.

Edit: The link still didn't work, but I managed to schedule my interview on September 16th using my phone. The August slot is filled already.

This may be a dumb question, but when you say verified, you just mean on CASPA, correct?

Yes, verified is the status shown on CASPA. Once the school receives the rest of your materials, they will send you an email with a link to pay the $35 application fee and update you that your status is complete and will be reviewed!

Having gone through the application cycle last year, RFUMS reaches out to applicants who have high stats first, then make their way down the totem pole. If you were sent the "4-6 weeks" message it might take longer if your stats such as GPA and hours are at or below their averages. If you've applied early eventually they will get to you but if you plan on having your app verified by end of July there is a good chance you might not get asked to interview till February if at all. These are just my observations.
