nuggetmamaa Posted March 17, 2016 Share Posted March 17, 2016 Hello everyone, I was invited to interview for a CC residency and in their email was a clause stating I had to sign a contract to commit 2 years to them after I finish residency. Hearing this news I am now a little hesitant because 3 years is long comittment, especially when I don't know the team and what if I'm not compatible with them or if the salary will be upgraded after the program? I did stay an additional 2.5 years at the same place I did residency, but it was my choice and the department did make me an offer to stay at the end of residency. The private/corporate/physician groups who whip up some program and slap on the label of "residency"? Signing a contract may be more commonplace then. I feel the same way, this program is a reputable program so I'm not sure why they would tack on an extra contract like that. Not sure what will happen, but I inquired more information about their statement, I'll keep updating if people are interested.
