PA-S LP
Hi, I read through all the highly recommended scholarships mentioned here on this forum like NHSC or the Navy HPCP, but upon reading the eligibility requirements, I wont be able to apply for any due to my status as a green card holder? Any one here in the same position that has some helpful tips out of my situation besides applying to US citizenship first?
Walkoffshot
Looked into it at some point... Found that there wasn't much option for non-us citizens. Most, if not all, of those programs require citizenship. Haven't looked in a while so maybe things have changed.
JohnnyM2
Many PA school scholarships are specific to a school or students in certain narrow categories. Most scholarships are small, especially those open to a broad range of candidates, and can be highly competitive. Scholarships are not very available even for most US citizens so, unless your country of origin offers some assistance, your options are likely limited. medic25
The big federal scholarships might be tough, but look into private organizations. I still had my green card during PA school and was able to get a few scholarships from different PA organizations (e.g. SEMPA, PA Foundation).
