arverhoeven Posted December 17, 2011 Share Posted December 17, 2011 We are happy to announce that Regions Hospital is starting a Physician Assistant Residency in Emergency Medicine. The 18-month postgraduate training program will be based at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Regions Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center with approximately 75,000 patient visits per year. The mission of the program is to promote excellence in emergency department patient care with a focus on critical care knowledge and procedures. The PA residency program will function in parallel to the existing physician emergency medicine residency program which was established in 1996. It has received support from the Department of Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, and Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at Regions Hospital, the HealthPartners Institute for Medical Education and local outreach partners. We are currently accepting applicants for our first class of 2 Physician Assistants who will be starting in July, 2012.
