chjohns22 Posted November 16, 2015 Share Posted November 16, 2015 I am looking for anyone that might have some connections to doing some rotations in Oregon. I was hoping to find some in the Portland area if possible (I am an East Coast student and know there are several PA's programs close by.) Didn't think it could hurt to put some feelers out there and see what comes of it. I am specifically looking to do my electives in Cardiac Surgery and Pulmonary Critical Care. However, I would be willing to do any of my rotations out there. I was just hoping to do my electives there because that is my field of interest postgrad and Portland is on the shortlist for moving s/p school. Again, any help/advice is appreciated. Thanks!! The job market in Portland for new grads is saturated, as both Pacific and OHSU are churning out 40-50 a year, and those programs have home-field advantage for any rotation you can think of, especially high-dollar specialties like those. May do some cold calling, worst anyone can say is no. Any other input or advice is appreciated, I am also open to the possibility of other locations in the state.
