Everything depends on when your application was received. If you get a chance, I would recommend double checking with an academic counselor, to check on your application status, if it is in the "pre-screening" or "review" stage. I was told by admissions last week, that they were beginning to review applications and will shortly (1-2 weeks) begin to fill their interview seats.

Best of luck :)

I'm right here with you... waiting anxiously.

I submitted my CASPA app on 5/17, it was verfied on 5/18, and according to the CASPA newsletter, it was mailed out sometime in mid June. I chose 9/16 for my interview date. The only other time in September was the 9th and interview dates for future months were unavailable.

I emailed admissions today asking the status of my application and they replied saying my application is complete and ready to be reviewed. What does that mean? My CASPA was mailed out in the first bunch in mid-June. Hearing that you guys have interview invites already is making me nervous. What are your stats?

Mine are:

cGPA 3.2

sGPA 3.0 (I recently finished two summer courses in which I received two A's. sGPA is now 3.1)

over 5,000 hours EMT experience

shadowed MD, DO, RN, PA

BS in psychology

and my essay is about my struggles with a chronic illness

Hey mrsbeansmama!

Don't worry about it. Some other poster said something great, 'no news is good news'. I saw on another thread that a bunch of people had gotten interviews at another school I had applied for and our applications were all mailed in the first batch, so I was getting pretty worried. But I got an invite today for that school, so they must just be reviewing and inviting one at a time. Rest assured, it's still early.

I am in the 2013 class and can confirm that all interview dates are represented but the dates with the most representation in our class seem to be from the last interviews in January. Bottom line is there doesn't appear to be any advantage to interviewing early. That being said, don't put off an interview unless you have to.

I am wondering if anybody has received a rejection letter, or if no news truly is good news?

If they stay consistent with past years, you will never get any communication of a rejection until after you interview. So, in theory, if they choose not to interview you after you pay your secondary fee, you will not know. So I wouldn't say it is good news, but definitely keep your hopes up. They get the most applications of any school (at least that was last year's stat) so just getting an interview is a big deal. Not trying to dash your hopes, just keeping things in perspective for you. It is still very early to worry about not being contacted.
