Is this just to "keep in step" with NPs? How will this benefit patients? Is this the direction we're heading? I'm not sure what I think about this. Moderator EMEDPA Posted June 6, 2011 Moderator Share Posted June 6, 2011 this is not an entry level program. it's for active duty military only mostly as a way of getting promotions that require a doctorate. residencies may go this way over time but I don't see a requirement for it. The reasons pro and con have been debated before so I won't go into them again.
