fleurjr
Hello all, It has been a while since I last posted in this forum. I just recieved my PANRE scores and I passed. I thought I would give my quick opinions on my studying methods. I mostly used HIPPOPA as primary source of studying. I found that the presentations/lectures were not only informative but entertaining. The question bank I also felt to be relatively on par with the PANRE. I would definitely use this again. I also got 50 credits of CME in the process. HIPPO education is also working on getting approval for "self-assessment" CME. I also used Kaplan Qbank for the last months. I felt that these questions were pretty challenging when compared to the actual test. I would still order it again for a month subscription. Overall I felt the HIPPOPA questions more representative of what I saw on PANRE. I used the Emory DVD as well towards the end. Admittedly I only used it sparingly and only in sections where I felt weak in. It was OK as some lectures were better than others. Good Luck
tfdouthit
I used the Appleton and Lange Outline Review for the PA Examination (2nd edition) and also passed. I think it covered the topics outside of the big 4 (CV, pulmonology, MS, endocrine) well enough to pass but would pick up another review book if I was to do it all over again. FYI it took 13 days to get my results and yesterday when I tried to log in, the site was down for maintenance until this AM. Best of luck!
