I am excited for the interview notices to start rolling out! Has anyone heard yet? The program has a lot to adjust to with the application changes, which will understandably take a while. All of the accounts I have gotten about the staff have been glowing so I'm sure they are doing a complete and quality job of the adjustment. Wishing everyone the best in the process!!

I'm a little confused by D'Youville's program. It states on the website that the program is available by freshman entry or transfer. Does this mean they do not offer a graduate entry level master's program (for those who have received a bachelor's already) or is this what that definition of "transfer" is?

Hi,

I had to create a profile to respond. I applied this cycle as well. I got an interview invite. Dr Peppa, I wanted to ask you if you already have your bachelors? I have my bachelors already. I wanted to see if anyone applied who already has their bachelors degree. I hope to hear from you. Good luck everyone.

Hey,

I applied around July this year. I have bachelors in Community Pysch, and Associates in Cardiovascular Specialist. I have worked as RCIS(registered invasive cardiovascular specialist) for about six years. What is your bachelors in? Are you in state or out of state? Thank you.

I applied too. from what i understand, you cannot enter into a MS only option but they will shave off X semesters depending on how many of the bachelor's level classes you have done. I applied and it looks like I can shave off the freshman year and join in at the sophomore year.

anyone know when we will start hearing back? has anyone heard yet about application receipt or interviews?

Hi Kmelore, Zamy, and Dr Peppa,

Congrats on the upcoming interview.  I actually applied to this program last year and was accepted into the Fall 2015 class with a graduation date of Fall 2019.  I have a BS in Applied Kinesiology and a minor in Bio.  With all the previous classes I took at Rutgers and some Post Bac classes I worked with the school on getting my start date changed (had to be approved by the chair).  I believed that I did not need to attend for 4 years, they basically were going to make me take a minor.  I have since been approved to start Fall 2016 for a graduation date of Fall 2019. With that being said you come in as a transfer having to take some core classes before starting the professional year.  These core classes are Gross Anatomy, Biochem, Ethics Seminar, Pharmacology, and one other. Once those are completed you then enter the professional year which takes 2 and a half years like every other PA program. So you will come out of this program with another BS and a MS.  If you have any other further questions feel free to reach out to me as I went through the interview process and credit transfer process.  Good luck on the interview and I look forward in starting the program with all of you.

-Phil

Hey Phil,

Thank you so much for all this info. Very helpful. what will the second BS be in then? I understand the MS will be in physician assistant. Also how much is their tuition for the PA program total? For the transfer students? About how many weeks after the interview did you hear back? Sorry I have so many questions. Thanks again. Am just nervous about my interview. ????

No problem at all! The second BS degree will also be PA. The tuition price for this year is 23,000.  So it would be 23,000 * 3 years and there is a chance you could get a transfer scholarship.  I got a 4,000 dollar scholarship so this program is really worth it.  As for a decision I interviewed last year on 12/6/2014 and I got my decision via mail and email on 12/19/14.  Don't worry at all about the questions, I was in your boat once and this school did not have a lot of information on here so I am glad I can help.

Hi!

New here! In the process of applying to Fall 2016 cycle as a transfer student. Applying through CASPA. I see that the deadline is November 1, 2015 for fall 2016. How are people getting interviews already? Still working on my application, but nearly done. A bit nervous now knowing that interview invites are already rolling out!

Please let me know if I'm missing something! Thanks :)

I was able to get my answer by calling the people at D'Youville! Very friendly, helpful staff if anyone has application specific questions!

Good Luck Annie! Yeah I have to say the staff at this school is outstanding and it really was the deciding factor for me in choosing this school for Fall 2016 start. I hope you get an interview and look forward to possibly meeting you if you decide on this school.
