Thanks for starting this thread. I submitted CASPA to them just a few days before their priority deadline; I kept editing and re-editing all those essays or else I would have submitted much earlier. I didn't get the "supplemental application" until 9/4 or so, and submitted the payment quickly.. not sure if that means I missed the priority deadline or not. Praying I didn't, MBKU is one of my top programs.

Hi! MBKU is one of my top programs, too. I submitted right before the early consideration deadline as well. I've asked them about the supplemental app date because I didn't pay the fee until 9/3, but they said that as long as you completed your CASPA by 9/1, then you made that early deadline! 

 

And @fsaelee, I believe that's correct. If you log in to your MyKetchum portal, it says they don't start reviewing until after 11/1 unfortunately. If you made the 9/1 deadline, then it's my understanding you'll be contacted shortly after 11/1 because they will have reviewed your app already.

Hey guys,

 

I just got an email invitation from MBKU to interview, but when I try to select an interview day preference, I get an email saying those dates were unavailable. I've tried a couple different dates/times but I keep getting the email. Is anyone else having this problem?

Alright, the website seems to work for now. Sure Biology PrePa, my CASPA was verified sometime in late June and payed the supplemental MBKU fee on 7/9. And yes, I received the email today.

I also received an invitation today.  However, I've recently been accepted at one of my top choice schools, so I will be declining this invite.  Good luck to everyone!  Oh, and recheck your scheduled interview choices... I got an email that they had a technical problem and you might need to re-choose.  :)

Here are some of the tips for interview at MBKU: Don't be shy, the weather is really nice here so dress well, don't disrespect any other professions during your interview (such as NP, nursing etc), have a thorough understanding of the PA profession and be ready to answer what a PA means and what their role is. If you live locally, I highly recommend coming to the Open House on October 24th (need to RSVP) so you can get to know the faculty and some details about the program. It will help lower your anxiety on interview day if you tend to get nervous! Good luck :)
