Guest UMDeeMan
yeah. i want to know how much higher the bar has rose this yr. seems every yr the applicant pool is larger and more competitive. some doctor told me to just go for medical school since its probably easier to get into, number wise, and also because many more people are interested in mid-level careers such as PA/NP/AA/CRNA and many more are appearing such as Radiologist Assistant, and others. but i still have my mind set on this, so when anybody hears the good new, please let us know.... :) i don't believe this whatsoever. Medical school will never be "easy" to get into. Although i would not be surprised if someone presented some evidence of declining med school applicants and increased mid-level health care applicants. Dental and pharmacy applications are sky rocketing though according to a personal contact on admissions at U of MN.

I still have an interview at Rosalind Franklin on 12/9 and I'm waiting to hear from Midwestern Downer's Grove. I feel like I was really lucky to have gotten as positive a response as I did. It took me a while (3 years) in undergrad to figure out what I wanted to do with myself and when I finally did, I was in a pretty deep hole. I stayed at college an extra year and took lots of science to bring up my GPA. You don't have to be perfect to get into PA school.
