PC2ED
I am 8 months deep into a multi-specialty/multi-location clinic as my first PA job w/ work hours M-F 8:30AM - 5:00PM and one Saturday/month. Clinical support and friendly staff are great, but that's about it. I am looking into some hospital jobs but haven't made up my mind on which department yet. Based on your experience, what are the pros and cons of hospital jobs vs private practice jobs for PAs (in term of benefits, hours, pay, life/work balance, stress, team support, liability etc...)? PennPA4
I like private practice since there is more flexibility with getting things done. Hospitals and large multi specialty clinics have too much admin and policies and block roads. On the positive note hospitals may give better pay and benefits.
