Guest Epresne1
Hello I'm a New Yorker applying for a NJ physician assistant license. I was wondering how long the process takes? I've already been waiting a month. One of the problems holding up my application is the criminal background check. Since I'm out of state I sent in fingerprint cards instead of going to Sagem Morpho for the digital fingerprinting. Does anyone know about how long this process takes? I was already offered a job and I'm terrified that they'll take away the offer if the process takes several months.
Guest Aquatic154
Be careful, from my experienece it took 3 months. Others that i know of havn't been as lucky as I have been especially if they have had previous licenses in other states. I know people where the process has taken them 4-6 months

limo1028
Is there a temporary license available that would allow me to work while I wait for the process? I am a new grad from a NY program hoping to work in Jersey.

nlknights
For the resume does it need to have specifics for the each job held since high school? Also, do you need to list voluntary jobs as non-employment?
mic87
NJ is a really bad state for PA's. The process takes 90-120 days. I have met PA's for whom the process took 5 MONTHS! There no longer is a temporary license offered.
