Submit early or wait for pending coursework?

Recommended Posts

Depends on which programs you are looking at, if they have rolling admissions, etc, etc, etc. Generally earlier is better, I was bumped back a year in applications because the class was filled by the time they got my app, even though it was before the deadline the class was full months earlier.

I'm almost in the same boat. I'll be ready to send everything in by May but I still have AP2 and general biology that will be completed mid May.. Do I send everything in with 2 pending classes? Or just wait until the schools release the grades?

I am taking two classes right now and will be taking two in the summer. All are prerequisites. I'm planning to submit my application after grades are posted for my spring classes. I'll just send updated transcripts when the other two are finished. None of the schools I'm applying to are rolling admissions though.

Hi,

If I were you, I would wait till you get those A's! June or early July is not considered late by any means even for rolling admissions. Even if you submit June or early July, the class will NOT be full by then. In my opinion anything close to or after august is considered late so you should be fine waiting a little extra. Getting your GPA up to 3.57 overall and 3.75 is not something you want to pass up! Hope this helps!
