undergradx
Hello everyone, I have recently been working as a CNA in a skilled nursing facility but am somewhat late to the game. If I continue working full time I'll hit a thousand hours mid-June. Otherwise, I can submit in April-May with around 750-800 hours. Of course, for programs requiring 1000 hours I'll have to wait, but the bulk of the programs I plan to apply to require no experience up to 500 hours. I realize the more hours, the better, but I also know waiting will hurt me. Any opinions? Also, thanks in advance!
Tori
June is still early enough for applying. I would definitely wait. I applied in July and had no issues getting interviews. And actually the school I will be attending I added on late around September!

Sushi
More is always better when it comes to apps. Although, the quality of your healthcare experience will be a stronger factor during the interview process. Adcoms will easily determine if the applicant in front of them is the same applicant they see on paper.
