happyguy171
Hello, I am trying to choose a PS school at the moment. I have 2 bachelors one in Science and one in Business and I work as an X-Ray tech. Looking at the PA schools I don't fill all the pre-reqs and I need to find some with the least pre-reqs or one that will allow them to be done concurrently if possible. Anyone got any ideas. Thanks
cop to pa
I recently went through over a hundred programs on the PAEA webpage to pare my list down. I'd start there. What pre-reqs are you missing? There are a lot of programs and your post is pretty sparse on details, so there's not much help to give. BTW I saw no programs that allow concurrent pre-reqs as a PA student.
Dueling Cavalier
I had to look at the individual websites of each school since everyone has a different criteria. Takes a long time, but unfortunately I'm not sure if there is a table or shortcut. Plus, some schools change their criteria every year.
ilovelost
When I was researching I literally went from the top to bottom of the official list to find the best matches for me. In addition to class prerequisites, I would also double check the specific requirements for HCE, shadowing hours, and who can write your letters of recommendation. It's a longggg process and I had to keep making new updated lists, but in the end it paid off :).
happyguy171
What programs have the least pre-reqs? Or maybe which ones have a pre-PA course??
ilovelost
That's a hard question to answer... I believe most require at least 6 - 12 courses. George Washington University's program only requires 6, but it's also a very competitive school to get into. If you have a science degree, you may have already completed a few of the basic requirements.

Nucs2PA
I also have a radiology background (Rad and Nucs tech) and a business degree. I had to go back to the local state college and take courses. Just do your research and make a plan to knock out the courses you need!
UGoLong
There are hard ways and easy ways to get your prereqs but I doubt many schools would waive any. If I were you (and I once was in a similar boat), I would take your prereqs and apply like everyone else. The journey is part of the adventure.
