Thanks Bladder probes in foley catheters are pretty accurate for core temp, but something of a hassle in the outpatient environment. :) Exergen temporal scanners (professional grade) are accurate if clean and used correctly. They're also very fast and do not require penetrating body orifices. I don't know how accurate the consumer version is, though that is what I have at home.
