Just got an email saying that I'm missing 190 hours of clinical experience in a general setting.

However, I did more than 3000 hours at a doctor's office who's a general physician but also specializes.

Is that not the same thing? Wondering what other people's situations/apps say.. I'm worried not that my interview will be retracted because of this.

Have you talk to Sharon Foster?  if you haven't, send her an email about your situation. she is really helpful and probably will tell you what to do.

She's the one who e-mailed me about it earlier. I replied telling her it should be shown in my app and rec letters. She hasn't replied back and am guessing she won't get a chance to until Monday. So it's really nerve wrecking to worry about it over the weekend :(

She said "190 hours of clinical experience in a general care setting" in her e-mail. I am wondering if there is a difference if the MD I shadowed is not only a specialist but sees patients in a primary care setting as well.

I informed her already in a reply email. Hopefully she answers back on Monday.

Best advice I can offer - as cliche as it sounds - be your true self. Be confident and genuine in your responses. Know the mission statement well. Be prepared to exemplify your understanding of the PA profession, professionalism and the biopsychosocial model of medicine.

I just interviews for Mercy November 21st, has anyone heard back?

Also the interview is pretty laid back, just be yourself and be prepared to be there for at least 5 hours. They interview people in groups of three and you get asked a series of questions, some of them every one gets a chance to answer and others are individual.
