ECG STEMI Assessment

Recommended Posts

From one of my favorite EM EKG blogs (EMS 12-Lead). . . .has anyone here done this?

it is "designed to evaluate your ability to use simply the 12-Lead ECG to make the diagnosis of a coronary artery occlusion. It uses a standardized list of 36 ECG's from McCabe JM, et al. Physician Accuracy in Interpreting Potential ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction Electrocardiograms. J Am Heart Assoc. 2013

Gives you a pretty comprehensive report including: Accuracy, Sens, Spec, PPV & NPV as well as how you stacked up against:

1. the computer algorithm

2. all physicians

3. cardiologists

4. emergency physicians

AND. . . it even gives you feedback on what tripped you up on the false positives and false negatives.

All in all a very nice exercise.  Two thumbs up.

Give it a whirl.

Blasted work computers using Internet Explorer 9 (seriously?). I can't make it work.

I got through it on my iPad using Chrome, but it crashed before I could see my detailed results. 72% ain't too bad, I suppose, but I would like to know what I need to review. If I gave it my email, will it automatically send me a copy?
