Did anyone start receiving calls from Kettering yet?

I just got called for an interview. However, I'm still missing OCHEM II and BIOCHEM... They were not on my future schedule in CASPA. Why would they call me for an invite? Are they just calling everyone for invites or do I actually have a chance if I pick these 2 classes up last minute? I would have to switch my whole schedule, but it is possible. I just don't want to do this if I didn't really deserve an invite and end up getting turned down even if I do take the classes.

Are invites sent out to everyone who met the prereqs, or did my application stand out to them?

I'm not sure what their reasoning was... what I do know is I was called earlier today for an interview also but I do meet all the prerequisite requirements so it's hard for me to say. I would suggest you definitely call for more information but if it were me I would switch my schedule to make it :-) Good luck!

That's exactly right. Also an essay that was very straight forward. The first personal interview I had I did not feel like it went very well, all of the questions had a negative spin such as "name a time you failed...", "how would your worst enemy describe you" so answering those questions were kind of hard but they said just be yourself so try to give honest responses and you'll be fine... Overall everyone was very welcoming and the program was impressive! Good luck!

Hello mbh2,

I have an interview with Kettering next week. I appreciate your input in the above response, but I would like to peg you for more information - did they ask specific questions regarding your personal statement, GPA, or health care experience? And most importantly, did they ask the dreaded "Why do you want to be a PA" question?

I interviewed on September 30th. They didn't ask any questions about my GPA, HCE or personal statement but I used examples during my interview so expect to talk about it. Also they did ask why I want to be a PA, but I think that's pretty standard for all interviews so make sure you articulate it.

Yay! I recieved an interview invitation via phone call. Did anyone get a confirmation email with more information about the day or area? Can anyone give more information on when you arrived where you went, how the day flowed, ect? Thanks!!

Congrats on the interview invite. The day for my interview started at 1230ish at the Boonscroft Building. I went in, there was a reception to the left and you checked in there and waited on everyone else to arrive. Then 2 students took you on a tour and answered your questions. Then they took you around 1pm to the main interview area. You were in there for around 3 hours then most of the faculty came in, introduced themselves and you asked questions with them.

Congrats dndandrea! Just wanted to pass along that when you get the acceptance letter, the official white letter from admissions says return the acceptance form to the PA department but the purple form says return to student accounts. I called Mary and she said to send it to student accounts. They may correct the wording by the time you get the letter though but it's worth noting :-)

Good luck ohioAT2010, they mention they wait list a lot at the beginning so I'm sure you still have great odds!

Submitted my application Sept. 1st and interviewed on Oct. 7th. Received a "still in consideration" email about 2 weeks after my interview. Still crossing my fingers!

Does anyone know when the last interview date is scheduled?

I heard through a friend that interviewed that they told him that this past Wednesday was the last interview date and then everyone that was still in consideration, would be notified of final decisions soon after. I am hoping it is in the next few weeks.
