When they say "several weeks" it means just that. Try not to stress about it to much! It has been an amazing experience so far being in this years class. Congrats to all of you for putting the time and effort into applying. I know it takes forever to get all your ducks in a row. If anyone has questions I am on here pretty frequently!

Right now, we are in the summer session, which is the end of the online anatomy and physiology class (an emphasis on physiology) and basic clinical science, which is an overview of biochemistry, cellular chemistry, cellular biology, etc. We are in class almost every Monday-Friday 9 AM to 4-ish PM. Sometimes we have the afternoon off, or its optional, most times not.

In the fall, we will be starting at 8:30 and going to about the same time, and our class load will increase to about 4 classes at a time.

Good question to fakingpatience...if you guys are up here, I recommend meeting up before interviews, etc. I met up with three other guys off of here the day before our interview, and it was enormously helpful. Three of us got in! MEDEX really values teamwork and communication, as evidenced by their interview style (small group).

Let me know if you have other questions!

Fakingpatience, i'm in portland (but was actually just in seattle this weekend- my sister has lived there for a long time now). That would be awesome to meet up if we get interviews for the same day! And thanks for the suggestion ktcan.

I have a question.  I just took the GRE yesterday but I need to submit my application this week for other PA program deadline (8/1/14). On the MEDEX website, it says I have to self report the score on CASPA.  Currently in CASPA i just self reported that I did took the GRE but not the scores. Once I submit CASPA, I can't go back and change the self-reported score, right? SO what do i do? (I'm going to call them tomorrow) Thanks!

I am a first time applicant to this program as well, living in New Mexico currently. I'm kind of nervous to be applying out of state, so I'd love to meet up with some of you before the interview as well. Does anyone know which month they do the interviews?

@tinal, traditionally, they start offering interviews in September and they usually offer one set of interviews every month until approximately January/February. Usually they are site-specific until the last session, which is typically a combined interview with multiple sites.

Hello everyone, I'll jump on board this thread.

I too am a first time applicant and I am out of state (Texas). I have my CASPA and supplemental app completed (still waiting on my third reference to submit their letter) but I received my verified notice from CASPA today.

It would be awesome to meet up with you all during the interviews, I'm not sure about you but I am excited/nervous/scared/hopeful/pumped/etc... all at the same time.

Good luck to everyone, I wish you all success.

Jake

I had about two weeks notice for my interview. Plenty of time to get myself worked up into a frenzy, get nervous, relax, get nervous again. Hopeful Jake we are paying it forward. I can say that coming I this forum and getting helpful advice from current students definitely helped with my nerves. Sit back and enjoy the time now. If you get in you won't have any time next year! Information overload succeeded. I'm sure Ktcan knows what I'm talking about :-)

I second that advice. I did not take fellow students' advice to try to relax through the process and that's my greatest wish for you guys. Pick up a new hobby, a volunteer job you LOVE, learn a new language, or spend time with loved ones, because that's all in short supply once the madness begins!
