Interview/acceptance? Some questions for AT. Still (2014-2015)

Recommended Posts

When did most people receive an interview/acceptance this past cycle? I'm wanting to apply here, but I have biochem to take if needed, so I'd like to know if I should spend the money to take it  Spring 2015 at my local university before matriculation only if interviewed and accepted before spring semester considering these AT schools I'm applying to only require biochem compared to the others I'm applying too.

Also, is the application separate for the AIT track? I'm part Native American from my mothers side (if required for admission) , but am not active in the community but willing to go through the track to serve the communities after graduation. Also, are these campuses in AZ or MO?

Thank you!

ATSU uses a rolling admissions process so the sooner you submit your application to CASPA the better your chances of being invited to interview. Personally, I had CASPA submitted within 1-2 weeks of it opening and my LOR's, transcripts probably arrived a few weeks after that. I was invited to interview in the first group (interviews began in August). I was accepted 4 days after interviewing.

Biochem is becoming a more common required course for PA schools. Be wary in comparing the one biochem course at ATSU vs other programs requiring several chemistry courses. Most university biochem courses require you to take Organic Chemistry as prerequisite and most Organic Chemistry requires General chemistry as prerequisite, so you will probably find that you'll need several chem courses to meet prerequisite for admission to AT Still.

I don't know anything about the NAI track. The program is located in Arizona (Mesa/Phoenix).

Hope this helps.
