JFarnsworth
Just wondering what PA is referring to themselves as a Physician's Assistant... http://www.charismanews.com/opinion/43399-5-keys-to-helping-kids-avoid-obesity JF
cinntsp
Hopefully someone else "proofread" it and made the change. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
whoRyou
Same articles by the same source: 5 Health Areas for Parents to Monitor With Their Kids by the same PA ... (Just dated at different times) Source: CHARISMAHEALTH As a physician's assistant in family medicine, my job is not only to treat patients for their various health problems, but also to educate patients on ways to prevent diseases. Something tells me someone is either lazy and not editing their work OR someone is NOT paying attention OR BOTH. (You would think the editor would have learned the first time around, apparently not.) JFarnsworth
Something tells me that this was not written by a PA at all...
sk732
Or was edited by someone who hasn't a schmick what a Physician Assistant is...editors often add their own things in, especially those with an agenda or who don't know what they're talking about. $0.02 SK
primadonna22274
There's nothing wrong with the article less the dreaded 's. You may disagree with her use of scripture to illustrate her points, and who the heck has time to micromanage her family's exercise habits while working all day (?!), but a lot of charismatic Christians think and talk this way. Not my cup of tea but I can separate my dislike for this kind of writing (btw my sister and brother think this way and it reflects in how they interact with others every moment of their lives) from the reasonable health advice presented by this PA. As much as we dislike it and try to re-educate PAs who refer to themselves in the possessive, there are plenty of them!

Moderator ventana Posted April 19, 2014 Moderator Share Posted April 19, 2014 As much as we dislike it and try to re-educate PAs who refer to themselves in the possessive, there are plenty of them! funny story with that I have had a couple very established respected PAs use the dreaded 's and the mid-level term...... have talked with them and brought up the issues ie we are not the possession and we are certainly not providing midlevel care... we provide (and these are some GREAT PAs) great care! they all seem to say they have never thought about it that way..... then come back a month or two later saying, "yeah I agree, no more 's or midlevel" sometimes it is just pointing it out....
