January 2015 Start

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone! I am very exciting to be finally applying to a PA schools this upcoming application cycle.  South seems like a great school, and a January start is perfect, so it's definitely high on my list of preferred programs.  I understand that the South application deadline is August 1st.  I will finish all but 1 of my pre-req classes on July 28th and I would like to submit my application showing only the 1 outstanding pre-req (Bio 2).  Will submitting my application on July 28th be OK as far as it goes with CASPA? From what I have read, once the application is submitted, CASPA may take a couple weeks to get it verified and mailed.  Am I going to miss the South deadline, or will it still be accepted since it was submitted to CASPA before the deadline?

Thank you for any responses!  And if you are a current South student that just started in 2014, I would love to hear feedback on how your classes are going so far.

Also just a head's up, when your applying through CASPA you can have pending classes in your application and simply update them after your class finish. South will then have your application earlier and see the classes are in progress. Once updated South University should be notified of the update you made on your application. Also you can send your updated transcripts to South for further verification once you finish classes

Just discovered these forums, it's nice to see everyone else worry about the same things on my mind. :)

About two weeks ago South University called me to interview and I chose Aug. 21st.  This is the only school I've heard anything past secondary apps from so far.

Good luck everyone!

Hey mnreyers. If you go the the FAQ on the CASPA website, there is a section about sending Standardized Test Scores. In that link there is a list of each school and each code. South U - Tampa Campus is 0454 if I am not mistaken. I would double check that though.

hey I meant the fafsa code for fianaical aid not the GRE code :)
