MJCBH
Hi, I was considering attending the CME Resources reivew course in Denver (which has come highly recommended) although I'm reconsidering and was wondering if there are any good comparable comprehensive PANRE review courses online. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
marilynpac
You can always go Datachem, also emery has an at home study program. It depends how long you've been in ortho and out of mainstream medicine. Some orthos keep up with mainstream esp meds others don't. I went to cme resources and found it invaluable except for the questions...way to basic.
Mmacfar
I just looked at the Emory University program. It is basically a video of the live lecture. Anyone out there use it?
Medicated
The Emory review course isn't too bad, but the CME Review course is better. The Emory Lecturers were of varying quality and didn't seem quite as experienced/professional as the CME lecturers. They also had a bad habit of running out of time and really rushing through the last bunch of slides. I'm at the Denver CME conference now and I'd have to say that, especially given the practice tests that they provide, it is quite a bit better than Emory. Don't get me wrong - Emory is pretty decent - but CME is better. I've done both now, so if you have any questions, I might be able to answer them, so feel free to ask. :)

marilynpac
I heard Exam master is also good...anyone know?
Medicated
I've been using that too. It's tough, that's for sure (definitely harder than the CME exams), but the answer explanations are thorough and usually help you to understand why the right answer was right and the wrong answers were wrong. Now and then there's a bad question, but you'll find that on any test, including the PANCE/PANRE.
Hemegroup
Kaplan online worked really well for me, along with the AAPA book/online questions. I also supplemented with Datachem but ran out of time. Word of advice ... 2 weeks is not enough time for preparation, at least it wasn't for me. Even though I passed well, I still would have liked to have been able to complete the Datachem. chasholloway121
I just returned last night from the CME Resources course in Denver. It's a good course in some respects, not so great in others.... very fast and furious information that comes at you too fast ... there are some areas that they could improve upon. I highly recommend using the Kaplan qBank questions for review ... here's the link. Hope this helps. http://www.kaptest.com/PANCE/PANCE-Prep/pance-qbank.html
