Remster825
Hi all! I am hoping a current or former SMU student could help answer this for me. What is SMU's reputation amongst hospitals/employers in the Bay Area? SMU is a top choice for me for a variety of reasons, but I am wondering if in a job setting more commonly known names like 'UC Davis' or 'USC' look stronger on a resume and ultimately give those grads a leg up vs. the likes of Samuel Merritt (or other private schools such as Loma Linda, Western U, etc.). I am sure some schools are looked upon more favorably than others in the Bay Area hiring market for PAs, but it is hard to tell which ones have great reputations as an outsider looking in. Thanks for any information you can provide as current or former SMU students!
Joelseff
SMU has a great reputation especially in Oakland. I work down the street from them and have several friends and colleagues who graduated from there. It's an excellent program from what I know. Sent from my Galaxy S4 Active. nixietink
I work in Northern California and have shadowed SMU graduates. Very well received, and VERY competent PAs. :)
