SMU's reputation amongst hospitals/employers in the Bay Area?

Recommended Posts

Hi all! I am hoping a current or former SMU student could help answer this for me. What is SMU's reputation amongst hospitals/employers in the Bay Area? SMU is a top choice for me for a variety of reasons, but I am wondering if in a job setting more commonly known names like 'UC Davis' or 'USC' look stronger on a resume and ultimately give those grads a leg up vs. the likes of Samuel Merritt (or other private schools such as Loma Linda, Western U, etc.).

I am sure some schools are looked upon more favorably than others in the Bay Area hiring market for PAs, but it is hard to tell which ones have great reputations as an outsider looking in. Thanks for any information you can provide as current or former SMU students!
