I interviewed early-decision at UMKC and when we interviewed, we were told they were making decisions on regular-decision students in early October, but that was back in April. Does anyone knows how many people are on the list? what about the chance that we might come off the list. It has being a very long and stressful wait. I am also wondering how we can know our position on the list. I attempted to ask about that but I was told they can't comment on it. To those who have being accepted here, Congratulation! cmarch1911 Posted November 19, 2013 Share Posted November 19, 2013 Hi guys, I received my acceptance VIA email on October 14 and received a letter in the mail shortly after. As of right now, they haven't released the final list of students (there are fifteen) but said they would let us know when things were finalized. From what I understand, about 100 students applied, roughly 30 were interviewed and 15 accepted. Classes are slated to begin on January 21. I heard there was more than 30 total interviewed or am I wrong? I also wonder why the class size was reduced because I thought we were told they anticipate enrolling 20 student, when I interview in May. Anyhow, I am still waitlisted and I hope to hear a good news... Do you know of any other accepted students that will be attending ? Do you guys have a facebook or something? Thank you. I am currently set to do the biomedical science program in Kirksville starting July 13th, and I am needing to make a serious choice of whether or not I want to give that up and go straight for PA. I was wondering if someone could communicate with me how competitive the program is, and if you could tell me what I need to be a competitive applicant. Also, why did you choose physician assistant over a path such as medical school? GPA: 3.83 MCAT: 21 Shadowing hours: 86 Volunteering hours: 500+ I have only ever shadowed physicians but I just set up three dates to shadow physician assistance at a local hospital.
