S Brake, there is no supplemental application

Not according to their website. I'm wondering if the supplemental app is a recent addition because I don't remember there being one last I checked.

http://www.jefferson.edu/content/tju/admissions-schools/admissions/apply/overview/physician_assistant/apply.html

"Follow instructions to complete the supplemental application according to the e-mail Jefferson will send after receiving your CASPA application.

After you have completed the CASPA application, Jefferson will email you a link to the supplemental application along with a login ID to access the application. You will receive a second, separate email with your PIN.

You must include your CASPA ID number and the date you completed the CASPA application on the Jefferson application.

The $25 supplemental application fee must be paid with a credit card."

I'm assuming that those who submitted early didn't have to do a supplemental app. I submitted towards the end of July. I called the admissions office and verified that they do indeed have a supplemental app. They said that they are in the process of downloading applicant info and that emails will be sent out shortly.

I thought it was great! The faculty was very nice and made us feel comfortable. I liked that the school felt like it was in its own little niche in the middle of a busy city. Definitely not a school that you would want to bring your car to- seems like public transportation or bicycle is the quickest way to get places! Loved it!

How was the interview? Did they mention anything about when you will hear back from them?

It went well, pretty normal interview. Everyone will do fine with it.

I don't think they even really knew when they'd be getting back to us. We were told they would start making decisions after the 1st month of interviews, in October. And then we were told we would start to hear in the beginning of November. It's up in the air and a mystery to all!

The interview process was pretty standard and not too difficult. You start with a tour of the school and the new floor where the program is going to be housed. They haven't quite finished everything yet so there were a few places we didn't get to see. Then you are asked to provide a writing sample while waiting for the interviews to start. Lunch was provided, which was nice. Interviews are one on one with a single person and pretty relaxed. All of the staff seemed very friendly. They just want to know more about you and to get a feel for who you are in person since they liked what they saw on paper. The school is very nice and there are some great perks to the campus, ie: nice dorms, a gym, a huge swimming pool that students can use, etc. Overall, I liked the school a lot. I believe they said they were going to be accepting 25-30 students, which is a little bit lower than many schools because of first year program accreditation requirements. Their final accreditation meeting is in March, and they said accreditation is pretty much a non-issue because the school is well versed in managing those types of requirements (for their other programs) and because they have completed just about everything they need to do for the final meeting. They said they weren't sure exactly when they were going to be making selections and they thought it might be sometime in October or November. I just received an email today saying that I was accepted and that a packet was on the way, so they have definitely started making selections. Hope this helps and good luck!
