    you misunderstood me. they do both at the same time.
    a crna/np or pa/aa can work anywhere in the hospital that requires critical care evaluations; icu, ed, etc
    I have a friend who does this who makes more than other crna's in his group because he can also cover the icu which a crna can not do. he makes 40k/more a yr than the other crna's because the md anesthesiologists can delegate more tasks to him that normally they would have to do.
    a crna/np can write scripts, do admission h+p's on critical pts, etc
    a crna can not do that. they can do operative anesthesia only.

    I joined the American college of Clinicians

    I joined yesterday. i ordering it 2months ago and it finally got here. 17-40L. Its pretty much absolutely amazing and after buying that one i think my wallet is going to be sore when i figure out the next one i am getting. L = Omg

    The ACC is a great organization. I've been a member for several years and I like what they're trying to do. They don't have a lot of patience for PAs or NPs bashing the other. It's an organization that has gotten past the parochialism & mudslinging & the misinformation and disinformation that has characterized the relations between the midlevel' Hatfields & McCoys for years now. The members of the ACC, PAs and NPs, understand that there is more we have in common (once we get out of school and are working in the real world) than there is that divides us. And there is plenty of work to go around for all of us.
