Here's the issue with google.Originally Posted by smrtmom1

I finally registered, but see no access to a members page- what gives?
So sorry for your disappointment with not having access to a members only page. This is a monumental task Brian and I are taking on and I don't know how many of you have had the opportunity to atttempt a similar endevor, but there are more little fires to put out than you can imagine. We have a number of projects with this new endevor going on at once and are juggling all of them at the same time. Of course if we had 10,000 members join the first day, we would have enough money to hire a large enough staff to do all of this for us. But as that is not the case, we have to put things into priority categories. We are actually working on the members only section, starting with PA definitions and literature you can give out to perspective employers. But this is a work in prograss and as with much of the overall project, will take a little longer to have in place.Originally Posted by andersenpa
Please bear with us and hopefully these, and other issues will be resolved in due time. We are working hard for all of us.

fyi- For those of you interested in making a contribution to napa but are not able to commit to the full price of fellow or student membership at this time there is a new membership level of "donor" which allows you to input the amount of your choice to help this fine organization. every little bit helps as we work towards our goal of increasing the publics's' awareness of the pa profession.
thanks to everyone who has joined up so far and to all future members and donors-emedpa.

18 members so far from 10 different states. So far many more males then females...what's up ladies?
Thanks for making this an option, guys... I've only gotten one paycheck so far and have quite a debt load to start attacking... but this will allow me to support this organization a little now and with a full membership later.Originally Posted by EMEDPA

Thank you all for your support. Along the way there have been a few bumps in the road, all to be expected in any new start-up. Our membership software has not been what we had hoped for and essentially has been giving us quite a number of problems. We have switched to new software and are in the process of integrating it into our website. It may take a day or two. Please bear with us and again, we apologize for the inconvenience.

I am glad to see this post tonight. I received the email announcing this new organization and am very interested in joining. I personally am tired of patients asking me "when I will graduate" and if I am going to "do what doc does" some day. I am anxious for more information, however. How does the organization plan to promote the profession and what benefits are included in becoming a member? Has the AAPA recognized this organization in any way? (not that they need to, I was just wondering if they plan to foster your goals) I want to personally thank you for taking the initiative to do this. I think that it is a fabulous idea and sorely needed.
